Creating System Repair Disc in Windows 7
Start > Control Panel
Click System and Security.
Click Backup and Restore.
Then click Create a system repair disc from the left side panel.
From Create a system repair disc window select CD/DVD drive. Insert a blank disc and click create disc.
This process will take about 2 minutes.
When done a new window appears and explains the usage of the repair disc. Click close to exit that window.
Finally click Ok to complete the process.

Completely remove Norton products.
Download Norton Removal Tool. Click here to download.
Double click the downloaded file.
Click Next.
Accept terms and conditions. Click Next.
Type the letters shown in the image. Click Next.
Click Next to start removal.
Norton Removal Tool can also be used to remove any failed installation or damaged Norton products.
Click Finish to complete the removal process.

Start > Control Panel
Click System and Security
Click Backup and Restore
Then click "Create a system image" from the left side panel.
From the system image window select where you want to copy the image and click Next.
Then select which drives to copy and press Next.
Finally confirm the selected location and drives and press Start backup.

System Resore
Windows has a useful tool called System Restore. This allows you to return you computer to another date and time that you know things were working as normal. It is a great tool for fixing a lot of problems and you should always try using this tool before you consider re-installing Windows.
